Except for major roads, Japanese streets aren’t named. Instead, cities and towns are subdivided into areas, subareas and blocks. When written in Japanese, addresses usually have their postcode first too.
When you send a parcel to Japan, you can keep things simple by writing the address in English and following the English structure:
For example:
Mr J. Bloggs
5-4-2 Ginza, Chuo-Ku
Tokyo 100-0004
JAPAN
But no need to worry, all you need to do is enter the right address information at checkout and we’ll make sure it’s formatted correctly when you print your label.
