Industrial placements

Our industrial placements give you a fully immersive year in the world of Evri — a chance to roll up your sleeves, get stuck into real business projects, learn directly in the role and work alongside people who are experts in what they do. It’s your opportunity to see how the industry really works and head back to university feeling inspired, confident and full of new ideas.

Each placement runs for 1 year and is designed for students in their penultimate year of university. Everything you learn will complement your degree, helping you connect your academic knowledge to real‑life business challenges. You’ll return to your studies with a stronger skillset and a clearer understanding of where your future career could take you.

Typical areas:
Most recently, our industrial placements have been based within Operations, but opportunities can change year by year — so keep a close eye on our careers pages for the latest updates.

What you’ll need to bring:

  • Be on track for a 2:2 or above
  • Be in your penultimate year of university
  • A willingness to learn, grow and take on new challenges
  • A genuine interest in the area you’re applying for
  • For some roles: A full, clean driving licence and car The ability to travel nationally or visit one of our key locations up to twice a week

How long is the adventure?
Around 1 year, depending on the programme.

Other opportunities

From time to time, we may also offer additional opportunities such as work experience programmes or summer internships. These are offered on an ad‑hoc basis, depending on business needs, so it’s worth checking back on this page regularly for the latest updates.

Work experience usually involves spending 1–2 weeks with one of our teams to gain insight into what they do and how their work contributes to the wider organisation. You won’t be expected to complete tasks yourself — instead, you’ll shadow colleagues, observe the day‑to‑day environment and come away with a clearer understanding of different roles and potential future study or career paths.

Our summer internships typically take place during the university summer break and are paid opportunities lasting between 4–12 weeks. During this time, you’ll get hands‑on exposure to your team’s work, contribute to structured projects and start applying some of what you’ve learned at university or college in a real business setting.

Recruitment process

How do you apply? Our recruitment journey has three stages, with shortlisting at each point. You'll need to pass each stage to move forward - and don't worry, we'll keep things clear, supportive and engaging from start to finish.
