About the role
At Evri, our Van Drivers are at the heart of everything we do. You’ll deliver fantastic customer service and keep our operations running smoothly. Playing a key role in making sure our customers’ parcels are where they need to be when they need to be there. Delivering parcels on a multi-drop basis to our ParcelShop and Smart Locker network. You'll also be visiting local businesses to collect their weekly shipments, making you a core pillar of your community.
The role is consistent. Spending time in your van and working in your community. It’s also different. Building relationships with our partners, having interesting conversations. Working flexibility, taking responsibility for your schedule and the decisions you make out on the road to meet our customers demands.
Once you join us, there are plenty of opportunities to grow and progress at Evri. Many of our Van Drivers move on to drive our larger HGVs and similar vehicles, helping move our parcels around the country. Evri can sponsor your Cat C and Cat C&E training, helping you step up without taking on the cost yourself.
About You
You’ll have a full UK driving licence with 3.5 tonne entitlement and no more than 6 penalty points (new drivers are welcome but are required to do a short written and practical driving assessment). You will be a good communicator and focused on providing great customer service. You’ll be loading and unloading your vehicle, ensuring every parcel is scanned with your handheld device and although our parcels can be small, there’s a lot of them! That makes this a very active and fast-moving role, so physical fitness is essential. Most importantly you’ll bring a strong work ethic to get the job done.
