Warcraft: War of the Ancients Trilogy

Warcraft: War of the Ancients Trilogy is a book trilogy written by Richard A. Knaak set in Blizzard Entertainment's popular video game universe, Warcraft.

The first book in the series was given away as a promotion for pre-ordering World of Warcraft from Best Buy. The book was packaged in a standard PC game box. When the customer bought the pre-order box (and the included book) for $10, a copy of WoW was reserved and the $10 was applied toward its purchase.

The trilogy takes place ten millennia before the first Warcraft games, during the Burning Legion's first invasion of Azeroth.
