Vengeance () is an upcoming 2009 French-Hong Kong noir crime film directed by veteran Hong Kong filmmaker Johnnie To, and written by Wai Ka-Fai. The film centers on a French assassin-turned-chef who heads to Hong Kong to embark on a violent quest for revenge after his daughter is murdered. The film features an international ensemble cast that includes French musician Johnny Hallyday and actress Sylvie Testud, along with Hong Kong actors Simon Yam, Anthony Wong, Lam Suet, Lam Ka-Tung, Maggie Siu, and Cheung Siu-Fai. Vengeance began filming from November 2008 to February 2009, and the film is set for release during summer 2009, with a French release on 20 May 2009. The film is currently in competition for the Palme D'Or at the 62nd Cannes Film Festival.
