John Vincent Calipari (born February 10, 1959) is an American basketball coach. Since March 2009 he has been the men's head coach at the University of Kentucky.
He is the former head coach of the University of Memphis, University of Massachusetts and the NBA's New Jersey Nets. He is one of only four coaches to direct two different colleges to a number one seed in the NCAA Tournament, and the only head coach to have had two Final Four appearances vacated by the NCAA.
