Eigil Nielsen (born December 6 1948 in Tars) is a Danish former footballer who played as a midfielder during the 1960's, 1970's and 1980's.
Nielsen began his career in 1966 at Hjørring IF before moving to Kjøbenhavns Boldklub in 1970. In 1971, he signed for Switzerland's FC Winterthur and he played there until 1973, when he returned to Hjørring. He went back to Switzerland in 1977, with FC Basel. Then, in 1978 FC Lucerne signed him and he retired in 1981.
He was capped ten times by the Danish national team, making his international debut in Denmark's 3-2 win over Japan on July 28 1971 at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen. His last match for the national team was in a 6-1 defeat to Romania on August 23 1975 in Bucharest.
