Conan Christopher O'Brien (born April 18, 1963) is an American television host, television writer, comedian and the current host of The Tonight Show on NBC. He rose to fame as the host of NBC's Late Night with Conan O'Brien from 1993 to 2009, before leaving to succeed Jay Leno to The Tonight Show helm, airing his first broadcast on June 1, 2009. Prior to his hosting career, O'Brien was a writer for Saturday Night Live and the animated series The Simpsons.
