Carlos Alberto Tévez (born Carlos Alberto Martínez on 5 February 1984) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays for Manchester City in the English Premier League. He is a former player of Boca Juniors, Corinthians, West Ham United, and most notably to date, a 2 year loan at Manchester United. He transferred to Manchester City in the 2009/10 summer transfer window. He has made 50 appearances for the Argentina national team. He was described by Diego Maradona as the "Argentine prophet for the 21st century."
