More on Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party
Description from Wikipedia:
The Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party (Монгол Ардын Хувьсгалт Нам, Mongol Ardyn Khuvisgalt Nam) is an ex-communist political party in Mongolia. The party is abbreviated MPRP in English and МАХН (MAKhN) in (transliterated) Mongolian.
The MPRP was the ruling party of the Mongolian People's Republic from 1921 until 1996 (with no other political parties allowed until 1990), and from 2000 until 2004. Since 2006, it is the leading force in a coalition with some smaller parties and independent MPs.
The current President, Nambaryn Enkhbayar, is from an MPRP background, as is the prime minister, Sanjaagiin Bayar. Upon becoming President, Enkhbayar had to officially suspend his party membership. In 2009 Enkhbayar was defeated for reelection meaning that for the first time in the party's history it will not control the presidency.
