Evri leads the way in logistics with AI-driven automation using Power Platform | Microsoft Customer Stories - Case study originally published on the Microsoft website.
Evri sought an efficient method to automate business processes through low code development and selected Power Platform as the foundation for automation.
As automation initiatives expanded, the team increasingly utilised the Power Platform toolset in collaboration with Robiquity, Evri’s AI & Automation strategic partner. One example is a solution implemented to manage the company’s fleet of over 6,000 vehicles. Previously, fleet tracking relied on a complex Excel spreadsheet that was prone to manual errors and update delays, particularly with recent fleet growth and the DHL ecommerce merger. Currently, the fleet is managed via an integrated Power Platform solution.
The project moved from idea to launch in under 12 weeks with a small core team. The app streamlines user tasks and integrates with the DVLA to enable instant verification of fleet details. Collaboration with the Fleet team contributed to the project’s successful delivery, and positive feedback has been received regarding the user’s experience of the app. The central benefit is the establishment of a single source of truth for all fleet data, supporting operational focus and improving customer experiences.
There are plans to further develop the app by incorporating additional AI capabilities intended to provide further benefits for the business and those interested in fleet information. Agentic AI is identified as the next big step for this use case, along with several other potential applications across Evri.
