Evri scores first parcel locker at Dereham Town FC to support grassroots football

Evri Group, the UK’s premier parcel delivery company, has launched a new parcel locker at Dereham Town FC in Norfolk, helping to make parcel services more convenient for the local community while providing valuable financial support for grassroots football.
Located at Dereham Town FC, the locker has been installed by LockerQuest and can be used by people visiting the ground for training, matches and club events, as well as those who live nearby. The new facilities mean customers can manage their parcels at a familiar community venue, without needing to make a separate journey elsewhere.
The lockers have been installed at no cost to Dereham Town FC and will provide the club with an additional, ongoing revenue stream. The money generated will go back into supporting grassroots football in Dereham, including the club’s pitches, kit and coaching.
The lockers may also introduce more local people to the club by giving them an additional reason to visit the ground and discover what Dereham Town FC has to offer.
Partnering with LockerQuest to bring parcel lockers to community venues like Dereham Town FC means more convenience for our customers and real support for grassroots football. By locating our lockers in places people already know and visit, we can make sending, collecting and returning parcels easier while helping community organisations generate valuable additional income. It is exactly the kind of partnership we are proud to be part of.
Hassan Dahag, Head of Lockers at Evri Group
.
This partnership gives us a new income stream at zero cost to the club, and every penny goes straight back into grassroots football here in Dereham. It’s a real win for us.
Daniel Mcilwrath, Chairman at Dereham Town FC
The new locker is now live and ready to use at Dereham Town FC. The installation forms part of Evri's growing locker network and its ambition to double the number of ParcelShops and lockers by 2030, giving customers more choice over how they send, collect and return parcels.
Available 24/7, lockers provide a convenient alternative for customers who may not be at home when a delivery arrives. Customers can choose to send parcels directly to a locker, divert an in-transit parcel to a nearby location, or print return labels at the locker using a QR code.
Evri now operates more than 13,000 ParcelShops and lockers across the UK, helping customers access parcels in the way that best suits them while supporting higher first-time delivery success rates. Customers can make use of a Evri’s preference options to tailor their deliveries, including:
- Deliver directly to a secure locker – available 24/7 and ideal if you won’t be home
- Use real-time diversions to reroute an out-for-delivery parcel
- Nominate a safe place such as a shed, porch or garage
- Add accessibility preferences such as requesting more time to get to the door
