Evri Group extends apprenticeship offer with new AI and data programmes

- Evri Group launches new AI and data apprenticeship scheme to colleagues in partnership with educational tech company Multiverse
- Colleagues at the UK’s premier parcel delivery company can apply to four dedicated pilot programmes
- Launch follows Evri’s wider commitment to apprenticeship learning, gifting £250K via Government Levy transfer scheme to other small businesses
The UK’s premier parcel delivery company, the Evri Group, has announced the launch of a new apprenticeship scheme designed to strengthen data and artificial intelligence (AI) skills across its workforce.
Starting in February, the scheme offers colleagues the opportunity to join one of four dedicated pilot programmes, with successful candidates joining the Evri Group’s AI or Data Academy.
And launched in partnership with leading education technology provider Multiverse, the two academies, which offer both level 3 and level 4 courses, are aimed at colleagues who don’t currently work in AI and data, but who want to build practical, career-enhancing skills in these fast-growing areas.
The programmes will support over 90 colleagues from various departments across the business in gaining hands-on skills through a series of modules, workshops and real business projects, culminating in a final assessment.
Those who successfully complete the course will achieve a recognised apprenticeship L3 or L4 qualification in their chosen specialism, equipping them with new skills and knowledge in these areas to apply within their current role.
The launch of the new academies builds on the Evri Group’s strong commitment to colleague learning and development, with the business already offering apprenticeship programmes in areas such as Leadership & Management, Transport, Sales and finance, and in 2025 alone, over 120 colleagues received support to upskill through these schemes.
Additionally, Evri’s support of the government’s Apprenticeship Levy transfer scheme saw the parcel company pledge £250,000 in the last financial year to help other small businesses fund their own apprenticeship programmes. Since 2021, this figure has reached £465,000, supporting small businesses in a number of sectors, including hairdressing, early years, and construction.
I'm delighted that we’ve been able to offer these fantastic programmes through our partnership with Multiverse. At Evri, continuous learning and development is a core part of who we are, and we’re committed to giving colleagues every opportunity to grow, build new skills and progress in their careers. With AI and data playing an increasingly important role across our industry, this is a fantastic chance for colleagues outside of traditional tech and data roles to gain practical, future-focused skills that can make a real difference in their current roles and beyond.
Lyn Warren, Chief HR Officer at Evri
AI and data are no longer just tools for tech teams: they are the fundamental building blocks of the modern workplace. By launching these academies, Evri is staying ahead of the curve and ensuring its workforce is equipped for the future of logistics. We are proud to partner with a forward-thinking brand that recognises that the best way to drive innovation is to invest directly in the people who know the business best.
