What is de minimis, and what’s changing?
"De minimis" is a limit on the value of goods entering a country without duties or taxes. Previously, parcels under $800 USD could be sent to the USA duty-free.
From August 29th, this will no longer be the case. Only gifts worth $100 or less will remain exempt. Most other shipments will now be subject to US import duties and taxes, regardless of their value.

If taxes and duties apply to your parcel, you have the flexibility to decide whether you or the recipient pays. If you choose to pay, your parcel may reach its destination even faster.

Your parcel can be returned quickly
If your recipient hasn’t paid the duties when the parcel reaches our international hub, we’ll hold it securely for 5 days and send them a reminder. If payment isn’t made, we’ll return it to you free of charge.
