AI & automation at Evri

After Evri’s announcement in 2024 about a £1m investment in automation, we’re pleased to introduce you to our new AI & automation page that will share updates about our journey so far, some highlights on what has been achieved, and how it benefits our clients, customers, couriers and colleagues. We will be providing regular updates to this page as we continue to safely navigate new ways of operating with the enhanced offering that AI brings to our business.
We have recruited an internal automation centre of excellence team, that focuses on supporting Evri to deliver key priorities using technologies to automate repetitive and high-volume tasks, building low-code applications to improve speed to market, and we’re also responsible for exploring advanced AI technologies as we look to continue our journey as the biggest dedicated parcel delivery company.
The team has provided significant business benefits and supports our Delivering Better campaign, comprising initiatives focusing on operational excellence, transforming operations and, specifically, improving customer experience (our most successful automation – customer service response and wrap-up).
With the ever-changing AI market, we have put a robust governance and framework wrap around anything we are looking at connected with AI. We have mobilised an AI forum, which consists of key representation from architecture, service, security, data, innovation, automation and legal, which provides us with the assurance that anything we are exploring has the necessary support from across key business areas. We have created our AI policy, and this is at the forefront of any new idea that comes through the new ideas stage. Lastly, we have created an AI register to ensure we have a central location for everything we are exploring, implementing and building across the various business areas.
