What is Evri doing?

Evri is creating a map of connections between people, places, and things on the web. You'll use this map to find the things you're interested in. Instead of searching by keywords and looking for relevant results, Evri will lead you to other relevant articles, images, and video based on what you're reading.

Is Evri a search engine?

No. Our goal is to provide you with information related to what you're already reading. We want to help you search less and find more.

What is the Evri content recommendation widget?

The widget is a small application that appears when you click the Evri link in an article. It shows you how the people, places, and things in the article are connected to other things on the web and in the news. It will also lead you to articles, images, and video related to the things you were reading about. From there, you can drill down within these relationships and focus on just what interests you.

How does it work?

The Evri widget makes recommendations based on the text you're reading. Instead of using keywords, popularity, or other algorithms, the Evri widget identifies each person, place, and thing mentioned in an article, as well as the connections between them. It uses that knowledge to point you to other content relevant to what you're reading. You won't search for information on something that interests you - the Evri widget will find it for you.

What is a Profile page?

Profile pages give you all the details we can find about a specific topic. You'll find biographies, dates and places, media and more. Like the Evri widget, Profile pages also recommend relevant content based on relationships and connections you choose.

How can I filter content on a Profile page?

On each Profile page, you'll see two lists that help you filter the articles the page recommends. The left list displays actions and other ways the topic is connected to the rest of the world. When you select a connection from the left list, additional options appear in the right list. Focusing on one of those options will further filter your content.

I'm a web publisher/blogger. How can Evri help me?

Once Evri indexes your content, you can look forward to increased traffic to your website as we present your content to more and more readers. And embedding the Evri widget on your page means that readers stay at your site longer.

Where does Evri get its information?

We search the World Wide Web and gather content from as many highly regarded information sources as we can find, and we're adding more sources all the time. If you know of an information source we should mine, please let us know.
