More on Strictly Come Dancing
Description from Wikipedia:
Strictly Come Dancing is a British television show, featuring celebrities with professional dance partners competing in Ballroom and Latin dances. The title of the show suggests a continuation of the long-running series Come Dancing, with an allusion to the film Strictly Ballroom. The format has been exported to 30 other countries (see Dancing with the Stars), and has also inspired a modern-dance themed spin-off Strictly Dance Fever.
The show has run on BBC One since 2004. A sixth series finished in December 2008, and there have been five stand-alone Christmas Specials -in consecutive years from 2004 to 2008. Series four was also shown as part of the BBC's line-up on its trial High Definition channel, BBC HD.
The final of the fourth and fifth series in December 2006 and 2007 respectively attracted audiences of over 12 million viewers, while the 2008 final had 13 million viewers.
