Rides is an automotive reality TV show produced for the TLC Network. The show's hosts are automobile enthusiast and amateur racer Jason Priestly. Rides debuted in the Summer of 2004 and quickly rose to prominence as TLC's highest-rated series of the year.
Hosted by actor and custom-car enthusiast Jason Priestly, the weekly TLC cable series Rides was a showcase of "tricked-out dream machines" and the people who build them. Visiting locations throughout the country the "Rides" crew visited and interviewed talented technicians and artistans who devoted their lives to making custom-built hot rods, hybrids, roadsters, and "retro" versions of classic vehicles. Various episodes follow the creation of a custom jobs from incpetion to finish. Some episodes focused on testing vehicles; sometimes to an extreme. Other episodes highlighted behind the scenes of the factories responsible for their creations. Featured factories where: Saleen, Incorporated, Roush Fenway Racing, Lamborghini, and "Hot Wheels. Celebrated fabricators, designerers, and mechanics such as: Chip Foose, Troy Trepanier, Leonard Lopez, Justin Padfield, Steve Strope and Kevin King were featured. Car celebrities such as Christopher Titus, Joe Rogan, Baron Davis and Lawyer Milloy, and Kenny Wayne were often featured. Certified "Car Nut" Jay Leno was also included often.
