Make Believe
Album
New Music Tuesday: Weezer, Raditude...since the release of "Weezer (Blue Album)," and things certainly have changed. The shift seemed to coincide with the release of "Make Believe" and the single "Beverly Hills. " They were both undeniably Weezer, though markedly cheesier. Weezer: Raditude [Reviews]

Jude Law Busted By Sir Ian McKellen!
...here first-but that's hardly all he can do. The wiry Brit worked his royal ass off as MC of the 10th anniversary celebration of Only Make Believe-which entertains sick children; yes, real children-at the Shubert last week. The man recited...

Raditude by Weezer
...for a return to the more introspective lyrics of Pinkerton or the modesties of the Blue Album, keep hoping. While better than Make Believe by a wide margin, Raditude by Weezer ($14) is more of the same from Cuomo and company: power pop...

Weezer - Raditude Review
It's reasonable to have low hopes for the alt-rock quartet's seventh (and contractually final, pending renegotiation) LP. Make Believe drowned in a one-note ocean of its own treacle and The Red Album was more or less a failed experiment...

...me a hater or tell me I'm stuck in the Blue/Pinkerton era but those were the last CD's where Weezer took some serious risks. I didn't hate Make Believe, or Red, or even Maladroit, but their music has been on a downtrend and every album has...

More on Make Believe
Description from Wikipedia:
Make Believe is the fifth studio album by Weezer, released on May 10, 2005, the eleventh anniversary of the release of The Blue Album. Bolstered by the Top 10 hit single "Beverly Hills", it gave Weezer their biggest chart album peak yet, hitting #11 in the UK, #1 in Canada, and #2 in the U.S., where it went gold quickly, and eventually platinum. The song also earned the band their first Grammy nomination for Best Rock Song. Despite this, Make Believe has received mixed reviews from critics and fans, though it has remained a consistent seller.
As of December 2007, Make Believe has sold 1,215,000 units in the U.S. alone. It reached number two, the band's highest peak to date, behind Stand Up by Dave Matthews Band.
Make Believe features the band's first two songs to top the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart, the aforementioned "Beverly Hills" and "Perfect Situation."
