Description from Wikipedia:
Maariv (מַעֲרִיב, lit. Evening) is a Hebrew language daily tabloid published in Israel. It is second in sales after the Yedioth Ahronoth tabloid but third in readership after Israel HaYom as well. Apart from the daily newspaper and its supplements, the media group has a chain of local newspapers with a national scale distribution, a magazines division, and a semi-independent website called NRG, which includes much of the print content.
The Nimrodi family holds controlling stake in Maariv, and Yaakov Nimrodi serves as its chairman. Maariv's editor in chief is Yoav Tzur who succeeded Doron Galezer and Ruth Yuval who quit in protest of continued budget cutbacks.
Maariv's coverage of events and editorial opinions are considered 'middle of the road', giving a balanced representation of the diverse views that abound in the Israeli society. Maariv's journalists and guest writers from the different sides of the political and social spectrum express their opinions side-by-side.
