Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (pronounced: /suːsiːlɵ bɑːmbɑːŋ juːdɒjɵnɵ/; born 9 September 1949), is an Indonesian retired military general and the sixth and current President of Indonesia. Yudhoyono won the 2004 Indonesian presidential election defeating incumbent President Megawati Sukarnoputri. Widely known as "SBY", he was sworn into office on 20 October 2004, together with Jusuf Kalla as Vice President. He is currently running for re-election together with Boediono.
