Michael Thomas Modano, Jr. (born June 7, 1970 in Livonia, Michigan) is an American professional ice hockey player and alternate captain for the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League (NHL). He is the all-time goal-scoring and points leader amongst American-born players in the NHL. He is also the only player to have been with the Stars during their whole time being based in Dallas.
