Lassana Diarra (born 10 March 1985) is a French international footballer who plays for Real Madrid C.F. His predominant position is defensive midfielder, but he can also play in a more advanced role and has played at right back for both Chelsea and France. His nicknames include 'hammerhead' due to the peculiar shape of his head, and 'Di-arrow'. In Spain, he is known as Lass to distinguish him from Real Madrid team-mate Mahamadou Diarra.
