More on Joss Garman
Description from Wikipedia:
Joss Garman (b. 1985) is a British environmentalist who is noted for co-founding the climate change campaign group, Plane Stupid.
A campaigner for Greenpeace UK since May 2007, he has been described as one of the "50 people who could save the planet" by The Guardian and as a "champion of the green movement" by The Sunday Times.
In August 2007 ahead of the Camp for Climate Action at Heathrow, he was targeted when the airport operator BAA went to the High Court to seek an injunction in an attempt to bring the most wide-ranging limit on the right to protest Britain has ever witnessed. Garman is reported to have said, "Whilst BAA can ask for an injunction to protect their profits - there is no law protecting the Amazon, the coral reefs or the glaciers."
He writes a monthly column for The Ecologist magazine and blogs frequently for The Guardian's Commentisfree. His articles have also appeared in The Independent on Sunday. He holds a degree in politics from the University of London's School of Oriental and African Studies. (SOAS)
