More on John Harlan
Description from Wikipedia:
John Harlan (born in USA) is an American television announcer who has worked on numerous television projects for over 40 years, particularly game and variety shows.
He is considered the "prince of announcers" by some critics and fans, for his highly-inflected nasal tones. Perhaps his best-known work was for the Bob Hope specials aired on NBC during the 1960s through the 1980s. Among game show fanciers, his most memorable outings were the versions of Name That Tune produced between 1974 and 1985.
Some of his credits include:
*People's Choice Awards
*Password (ABC, 1971-75)
*Flip Wilson Show
*Merv Griffin Show (when based in Los Angeles)
*You Don't Say (all versions)
*Face the Music (1980-81)
*Queen for a Day
*The Cross-Wits
*Jeopardy! (NBC, 1978-79)
*American Gladiators (Syndicated, 1989-97)
*Press Your Luck (as a fill-in for Rod Roddy)
*Password Plus (as a fill-in for Gene Wood)
*Name That Tune
*The Joker's Wild (sub-announcer)
*The Price is Right (1994 syndicated, sub-announcer)
*Tic Tac Dough (sub-announcer)
