Vordel is a provider of XML gateway and SOA management products to secure and manage XML traffic and SOA environments. They effectively enable companies implement appropriate corporate governance compliance frameworks, reduce the ongoing costs of managing complex SOAs and increase the returns on legacy infrastructure assets.
In 2000 Vordel was the world's first company to launch products (hardware and software) securing XML traffic between applications. This product category became known as the XML firewall and has latterly expanded to become known as the XML Gateway. The XML Gateway is a product that manages XML traffic by protecting XML applications from malicious and unauthorized access. It also acts as a vital control point on the XML network, providing effective service virtualization and throttling control for Web Services. Vordel's Web Services management product, VordelDirector puts the control of an SOA in the hands of security administrators and business analysts by providing the SOA security and management platform to protect and control all XML traffic. Today the company supplies solutions to Global 2500 companies and governments around the globe.
In the past few years the massive adoption of XML, Web Services and SOA to exchange personal, military or business critical information has led to a huge focus on the areas of access control, data validation, auditability and associated XML security processing.
