Fox Atomic was a theatrical movie studio and a subsidiary of Twentieth Century Fox. Fox Atomic produces theatrical films, graphic novels, and digital content targeting young adults.
It was created in 2006 with the goal of producing and acquiring eight films per year over a range of genres, specifically action and horror pictures. As is the case with fellow subsidiary Fox Searchlight Pictures, Fox Atomic has its own production operations, while its films are copyrighted and distributed by Twentieth Century Fox.
In 2008, Fox Atomic scaled back its production operations and shut down all marketing divisions, which have since been taken over by Twentieth Century Fox. Films such as Miss March have been handed to sister company Fox Searchlight Pictures, while the fate of other Fox Atomic films is currently unknown.
Fox Atomic has also created a graphic novel publishing division called Fox Atomic Comics.
Fox Atomic appears to be absorbed into Twentieth Century Fox in 2009 and the Fox Atomic website is no longer accessible.
