More on Como Jannali Rugby League Football Club
Description from Wikipedia:
Como Jannali Rugby League Football Club is a junior and amateur rugby league football club founded in late 1947 before competing in their inaugral season a year later. The club is based out of Como where its headquarters are located and usually draws on the large majority of its players from that suburb and the neighbouring Jannali.
The clubhouse is located on Scylla Bay Oval in Como, New South Wales, across from the famous Como Hotel. The club competes in the Sutherland Shire local league and has one of the more considerable records. The original colours of the Rugby League club are still debated but they have for a long time been green, to reflect the abundant wildlife and bush in the Sutherland Shire, and white. Como also is known for its lack of mascot, preferring the unpretentious and unadorned football as its emblem.
They are lovingly known as 'The Mighty Mo's' by fans and locals alike and field teams from Under 8 age groups all the way to A Grade.
During the 2007 rugby league season the Como club adopted the crocodile as their emblem as part of their 60th year celebrations. Their club logo was furthermore changed to include a picture of their newly adopted mascot.
