www.gsb.columbia.edu/publicoffering The Columbia University Graduate School of Business Administration (GSB), usually called Columbia Business School (CBS) is the business school of Columbia University in New York, New York. It was established in 1916 to provide business training and professional preparation for undergraduate and graduate Columbia University students. Its admission process is among the most selective of top business schools and it is one of six Ivy League business schools.
Columbia Business School is known for its close ties to Wall Street and the seminal work completed in the field of Finance by professors Benjamin Graham and David Dodd. It is affiliated with 13 winners of the Nobel Prize in Economics including current professors Robert Mundell, Joseph Stiglitz and Edmund Phelps. The School has an international emphasis, and many alumni have achieved distinction in the public as well as the private sector.
For the class entering in 2008, the acceptance rate into Columbia's MBA program was 15%. The class has a GMAT score range (middle 80%) of 660–760, 32% of the class are women, 43% are international citizens, and 26% are members of a minority group of US origin.
